llll Chicken Lettuce Wrapsllll
If you have ever had P.F. Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps, you know how good they are. This Low Carb version is so good and literally your whole family will love them! The special spicy sauce at the end is so good!
Ingredients Homemade Hoisin Sauce
· 1 pound of ground chicken - 5 TBS soy sauce or coconut aminos
· 1 cup of chopped onion - 2 TBS natural no sugar added peanut butter
· ½ cup of canned water chestnuts, chopped - 2 garlic cloves, minced
· 2 green onions, chopped - 1 TSP of Sriracha
· 1 head of lettuce - 2 TSP of sesame oil
- 2 TSP rice wine vinegar
Special Spicy Sauce - 1 TBS Low Carb Sweetener
- 1 TBS Thai Chili Paste - ½ TSP Garlic Powder
- 2 TBS Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos - Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1 TBS Mustard Powder
- 1 TSP Sriracha
Instructions
1. Mix Hoisin Sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside
2. Cook ground chicken in skillet over Med-High heat for 3-4 minutes until browned. Season with Salt & Pepper. Drain excess liquid if needed
3. Add chopped onions and cook another 2-3 minutes until onions become fragrant
4. Add Hoisin Sauce, water chestnuts and green onions and cook until thoroughly mixed
5. Load mixture onto lettuce cups and top with special spicy sauce.
