Perfect Moist Chicken in Cast Iron Skillet

This is an almost foolproof method to cook chicken in your cast iron skillet and over where it come out moist and juicy all the time! You won’t want to cook your chicken by another method again!


· 3-4 Thawed Chicken Breasts

· Garlic Powder

· Pepper

· Garlic Salt

· Paprika

· Avocado Oil


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

2. Preheat cast iron skillet on stove top on medium heat

3. Season one side of the chicken with the garlic, pepper, garlic salt and paprika

4. Add 2 tablespoons of avocado oil (works best at high temps) to heated skillet

5. Place chicken, seasoned side down in skillet for exactly 5 minutes

6. While chicken is cooking, season the other side of the chicken while in the skillet

7. After five minutes, the skillet is removed and placed in the over for exactly 13 minutes

8. Remove from the oven and skillet and let rest for a few minutes
